English Language Teacher

Europa Language School is looking for experienced and passionate teachers to join our team!

Europa Language School is seeking qualified and experienced teachers to work part-time. The English Language Teacher will teach various English language courses to youth and adult learners. Some courses include ESL (Beginner to Upper-Intermediate levels), Professional Speaking & Writing, and Test Preparation (IELTS, CELPIP).

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  1. A completed bachelor’s degree
  2. A completed TESL certificate recognized by TESL Canada (or equivalent)
  3. Minimum one year of teaching experience in a classroom setting
  4. Experience teaching test preparation (IELTS, CELPIP) is preferred
  5. Working knowledge of word processing and commonly used computer applications
  6. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with individuals from a diverse range of cultural and educational backgrounds
  7. A self-starter with minimum need for supervision and a team player

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Preparing lessons designed to help students improve their English language skills in accordance with the Europa Language School curriculum.
  2. Selecting and effectively using appropriate sub-materials and resources.
  3. Creating an encouraging and positive learning atmosphere that is free of any prejudice or discrimination.
  4. Evaluating and providing feedback to students to ensure that they are aware of their progress.
  5. Contributing to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
  6. Reporting to the Academic Manager regarding class progress, student feedback, and any other relevant issues.

SUPERVISION

The English Language Teacher is supervised by the Academic Manager and the Lead English Teacher.
